A Noble and Challenging Profession

In recent news, Hilary Rosen made an ignorant statement on Ann Romney who apparently “never worked a day in her life.” My mouth just dropped for various reasons.

First being, raising kids is work. No way around it. Being a homemaker is a noble and challenging profession worth defending.

Secondly, as a stay at home mother, you are the first to see how economic issues impact and affect your family. From the rise of your electrical bill to the cost of milk, your opinion is definitely very important.

But whether you are a stay at home mother or a working mom, women are the REAL planners who keep their households running smoothly. Women do the buying, the saving and the budgeting and at the same time plan the lives of their kids, husband, parents, in-laws and even the family pets.
