Lourdes Janzen, Founder

After spending five years in the military, Lourdes Janzen started a career in Public Relations and Sales and Marketing. With more than 15 years’ experience marketing within the hospitality, health and financial industries, Lourdes Janzen started a family and decided to start consulting in order to become more available for her family.

As a mother, small business owner and wife, every day decisions needed to be made which affected her family. As many women experience, on many days she did not have the time to do all the research with the due diligence she felt was needed… LJ Investment Research was created for this reason.

“I am not your financial advisor, I am not your personal financial planner, but I am your researcher. I am a woman just like yourself and know it takes a lot of time each day to find all the resources you need in order to make sound financial decisions. That is why I developed LJ Investment Research. I wanted to create one powerhouse source where all women on any track in life can find the information they need, to grow and develop their financial independence and secure their future.” – Lourdes

Mary Conway, Editor

A Denver, Colorado native and a mother to an 8 year old, Mary has been a hairstylist for the past 17 years. She also went back to school, got a degree and worked in Project Management in Corporate and Non-Profit America. In 2009, due to the economy she was laid off from her job and spent the next two and a half years looking for work while raising her son. During that time Mary reassessed her life and the importance of being able to be at home for her son before and after school.

New to the world of investing, Mary will chronicle her personal experiences on how she has had to rebuild her life as a single mother, trying to make her career grow during the world’s economic struggles and still save for herself and son’s future.

Susan Guilbert

Susan Guilbert is a single woman whose work and community involvement are a major part of her life.  She is an entrepreneur who has freed herself of being an employee of large corporations to achieve her potential in life while helping others to do the same.  Her professional background includes 8 years’ experience in the wireless industry and recently as an Internet Marketing Consultant to law firms.  She has been a leader and a mentor to those on her team to achieve success and fulfillment in their everyday work. Throughout her professional career, Susan has helped many types of businesses reduce their operating costs while increasing their return on investment as she has done in her personal life.

Since 2006, Susan has been heavily involved in the communities of South Florida since relocating from Virginia in pursuit of more opportunities. She held a board position with the American Red Cross Young Professionals group, raised funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, who named her Woman of the Year in 2008, and graduated from the 2010 Leadership West Palm Beach class. Susan joined LJ Investments to help grow our community and increasing LJ Investment Research’s resources for our readers.
